01 / Studio

Who we are

Marble Atelier is an Android puzzle game developed and published by Lumenstone Studios in the United Kingdom. Lumenstone Studios is responsible for the personal information it processes to operate the game, provide purchase verification, respond to enquiries and operate this website, as described here.

Privacy enquiries can be sent through our studio support page or by email to hello@lumenstonestudios.co.uk.

02 / Scope

What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to the Marble Atelier Android application and this Lumenstone Studios website. It explains information handled directly by the game, data processed by our service providers, and the choices available to you.

Google Play, Google Play Games and other third-party services also process information under their own privacy policies. We link to these where relevant, but do not control Google's account-level data practices.

03 / Information

Information we handle

Game progress and preferences

The game stores information locally, including levels completed, best times, checkpoints and paused attempts, badges and mastery status, collected marbles, crafted visual customisations, journal unlocks and gameplay or accessibility settings. These records help the game remember your progress and choices.

Optional cloud-save information

Where cloud saving is available and you choose to connect it, the game accesses a Google Play Games player identifier and sends selected game-progress information to Google's Saved Games service. The data can include progress, completion records, collectibles, crafting state and saved attempts. Cloud saving does not upload your payment-card details, purchase tokens, or device-only graphics preferences.

Purchase-verification information

When you buy or restore the full-game unlock, the game and its verification service may handle the Google Play product and purchase token, verification and refund status, receipt-related timestamps, short-lived verification values, and a protected or hashed installation identifier. The purpose is to validate entitlement, prevent replay or fraud and restore access. Payment-card details are handled by Google Play, not collected by us.

Information you send us

If you contact Lumenstone Studios through the website's support form or by email, we receive the contact address, message, chosen enquiry category, and any other information you choose to provide, such as your name, device or game version. We use this information to respond. Please avoid sending passwords, full payment-card numbers or unnecessary sensitive information.

04 / Google Play Games

Cloud saves are optional

When supported in your version of Marble Atelier, you may connect cloud saving through Settings → Google Play cloud saves. The game uses Google Play Games Services Saved Games, not a Lumenstone-hosted gameplay database. The feature is designed to back up selected progress and restore it on compatible devices linked to the same Play Games profile.

The game may combine a local save and a cloud save, preserving progress and eligible records according to its save-merge rules. Saved attempts may be resolved separately to prevent conflicting active runs. A Play Games player ID is used to prevent different players' saves from being silently mixed.

Important about switching cloud saves offDisconnecting cloud saves stops further synchronisation from the app, but does not automatically erase local progress or existing saved data in your Google Play Games account.

You can manage or delete a game's Play Games data through your Play Games profile. For Google's current instructions, see Delete your Play Games data or profile. Deleting cloud data may affect progress or achievements, and a local save may remain on your device until cleared separately.

05 / Billing

Google Play purchases

Marble Atelier offers a one-time, non-consumable full-game unlock using Google Play Billing. Google manages the checkout and payment details. We do not receive or store your card number.

To confirm a purchase, restore entitlement or check for refunds, our verification backend processes the purchase data needed to communicate with Google's purchase services. The service uses Supabase infrastructure, and holds protected verification records rather than your full Google account profile.

Your Google Play purchase and your game save are separate. Deleting gameplay progress does not automatically cancel or remove a valid purchase, and cloud saves do not grant paid access on their own.

06 / Uses

07 / Partners

Who processes information

  • Google Play: payment processing, licensing and purchase information associated with your Google account.
  • Google Play Games Services: your Play Games identity and optional game-save storage when connected.
  • Supabase: infrastructure used to verify and maintain purchase-entitlement records. The configured backend project is in the London region.
  • Cloudflare: website hosting, delivery and security, which may involve basic connection and network data.
  • Mailjet: delivery of website support-form messages and related correspondence. Mailjet may process the sender's contact details and message content needed to deliver those emails.
  • Other email services: messages you choose to send or receive, as needed to answer your enquiry.

Service providers may process relevant technical details to operate, secure and maintain their services. Google may act as an independent controller for its own account-level services. You can read Google's Privacy Policy, Supabase's Privacy Policy, and Mailjet's Privacy Policy.

08 / Safeguards

Security and international transfers

We use encrypted network connections for cloud services and purchase verification, controlled access to verification systems and measures intended to reduce unauthorised access. Purchase tokens and service credentials are not displayed publicly or included in the cloud-save payload.

Some providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data protection law requires safeguards, appropriate transfer arrangements or applicable adequacy mechanisms are used. No internet-based service can be guaranteed completely risk-free.

09 / Control

How long information is kept, and deletion

  • Local game data: normally remains on your device until you clear the app's data or uninstall it, subject to your device's own backup arrangements.
  • Google Play Games cloud data: remains in your Google Play Games account subject to Google's policies and your deletion choices. Disconnecting in the app does not by itself erase an uploaded copy.
  • Purchase verification: relevant records are kept for as long as reasonably needed to validate the permanent unlock, handle refunds, support entitlement restoration, prevent abuse and satisfy applicable legal obligations. Short-lived nonces and rate-limiting data are kept only as needed for security.
  • Support correspondence: retained only for as long as necessary to answer the enquiry, deal with follow-up matters and meet legal obligations.

How to delete game data

For local progress, use your device's Android app-storage controls. For uploaded Play Games data, use Google's game-data deletion instructions. If you also want us to review information that Lumenstone Studios controls, contact us using the details below and explain the request. We may need enough detail to locate a relevant purchase record and may need to retain limited data where required by law.

Local and cloud copies are separateDeleting Play Games data does not necessarily delete on-device saves or purchase-verification records. If you connect the game again with an existing local save, it may be uploaded again.

10 / Rights

Your data protection rights

Depending on where you live and the legal basis for processing, you may have rights to request access, correction, erasure or restriction of personal information, to object to certain processing, to receive portable data where applicable, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it.

Contact us to make a request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and may ask for limited information to verify that the request relates to you. If you are in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

11 / Families

Younger players

Marble Atelier does not require players to give Lumenstone Studios their name or email address to play locally. Google Play Games and Google Play purchases are governed by Google's account requirements and parental controls. If you are a parent or guardian with a privacy concern, contact us using the details below.

12 / Website

Visiting Lumenstone Studios online

Our website uses Cloudflare for hosting and delivery. Like other hosting providers, it may process basic connection data such as IP addresses, browser details and request information to deliver pages, protect against abuse and diagnose errors. This standalone privacy page does not set its own cookies or load advertising or analytics scripts.

Our support form, if activated, transmits the details you enter to a secure Cloudflare function, which uses Mailjet to send your message to the studio. This page does not itself send those messages. If the support form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce spam, Cloudflare processes technical data to verify the challenge. Other parts of our website may use additional technologies and would need to be accurately described in this notice. Third-party links have their own privacy policies.

13 / Updates

Changes to this policy

We review this notice when Marble Atelier's functionality or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised date, and further notice will be provided where required.
